KHDA – MBR Scholarship Program Platform

this program provides opportunities for outstanding students from Dubai wishing to join the best private schools in the emirate “Dubai” and give them access to the best educational services. This is in cooperation with key stakeholders in the private education sector who have a long history of successful operation in Dubai and a global reputation for providing exceptional education services.

MBR Program related data capturing and different processes were done manually using Excel Application. The New Application will help different stakeholders to enter/view/analyze the data and generate relevant Reports.

The pain was that the old process was done with MS Excel sheets and other software, it was so hard to track and see the overall picture in an easy, informative way from all parties. There was always something not clear or missing information from one side that affected the whole program with limited ability to track it down and solve it within reasonable amount of time and effort.

The proposed solution was to develop a platform to enable different stakeholders to manage their data/ do tasks, and get things done easily. With clean dashboards easy task flows.

To successfully execute this program, I interviewed all stakeholders; (KHDA: IT department, project manager, product owner, Program managers and higher management, legal department and all related personnel in the program), knowledge fund authority, school teachers and admins, parents/students, and transportation authority.

The interviews marathon have helped me to clearly understand the pain from different perspective, hear the expectations and build a solution around it with realistic deliveries.

In this case study I will not be able to add all screens or complete flows, but there will be enough information to explain the process and the functionalities.
